Recovery Youth Leader
As a Recovery Youth Leader (Young Adult Peer Specialist), you will help address the needs and goals of the Transitional Age Youth (TAY) population by participating in TAY seminars, trainings and events. The Recovery Youth Leader will facilitate events and programs of the Recovery Learning Center that will foster a warm and welcoming environment. The Recovery Youth Leader will also communicate, represent, and promote the Youth Peer movement within the RLC and facilitate Peer-run groups.
Requirements:

Applicant must be of transitional age, between ages 21-25.

Current or previous experience as a recipient of mental health services required.

Basic familiarity inclusive of ability to enter and access data/information.

Excellent interpersonal skills to instill confidence and to advocate for SERLC participants.

Cultural sensitivity and comfort with a wide range of social, racial, and ethnic populations.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; Associates or Bachelor's degree in Human Services is preferred.

Certification as Peer Specialist (CPS) in state of service preferred.

Hours per week: 10
Pay Rate: $17.50 / hour

Quincy RCC
Recovery Bridger
The Peer Bridger will facilitate and support people as they transition from varying levels of care (e.g. acute- and continuing-care inpatient facilities, crisis stabilization units, respite beds, transitional homeless shelter programs) into natural community supports of their choosing. The Peer Bridger will support people on a one-to-one and group basis by building a stable, trusting relationship with the person as they prepare for an upcoming transition. In addition, the Peer Bridger will assist with the operation of peer-operated Recovery Learning Community (RLC) setting(s) in which people with lived experience of mental health conditions choose to join as participants and work collaboratively on their recovery goals along with their peers.
Requirements

Lived experience of a psychiatric condition required.

Bachelor's degree and Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) credential preferred. Experience may be substituted for academic training.

Strong time management and writing skills.

Must be at least 21 years of age and have a current, valid, US driver's' license for at least one year.

Must be able to become CPR, First Aid certified within 2 weeks of employment. Vinfen offers certification training upon hire.

All candidates must be able to successfully pass a CORI, reference, national fingerprinting and driving record check (when applicable).
